Restaurant with Bar

reastaurant3.PNG

I created this drawing in my school's Architectural Design class with the AutoCAD program. I wanted to design a modern family restaurant. There is a divider in the middle of the building to separate the dining room from the bar area which includes windows. There are 18 booths and 13 tables along with room at the bar, allowing for a high-volume restaurant. The front doors include a small area before you walk into the restaurant to ensure that people inside aren't affected by the weather outside. In the back right corner of the building there is two large bathrooms. The kitchen area has two walk-out areas where servers will go in and out. In the kitchen there is a separate office for managers and business owners. The kitchen area is incomplete because I was not able to find commercial kitchen equipment online that was compatible with the AutoCAD program. Therefore I didn't know where to place the back exit door since there is not kitchen equipment. Although, the kitchen does include a walk-in cooler and freezer.

"Dream House"

I designed a single family home, meant to be placed in southern America, more specifically, Florida. It's 3,825 square feet (75' ft x 51' ft) with a garage that's about 920 square feet (40' ft x 23'-4" ft). It's open concept with 23 bedrooms, including a master bath, a half bath, and a regular bathroom. In the kitchen, there is a custom granite top bar that I designed. It was hard to find kitchen equipment online that would fit in the kitchen because it's custom. This house also has lots of extra storage space, since it does not include a basement; although, it does have a garage. In addition to the living room, there is an extra sitting room that's more private. I had a hard time trying to render the drawing to make it more realistic because my computer wasn't working - the walls are an ivory color, the driveway and walkways are cement, and the floors are a meant to be a dark brown hardware floor.

Office Building

     (proposal)

I plan to create a double office building, crossing over a road. They will each be 3 stories tall. The type of building I will create would be good for a larger business since it will have two buildings and it will be more expensive to build. The two buildings will be connected with a sky-walk that is all glass on the sides and top. In addition to the glass sky-walk, the buildings will be built with glass walls. Each level of the building will be 6,400 square feet. On the bottoms of each building will be a cafe and sitting area on the opposite side. The bottom floors will also have revolving doors and a secretary desk when you walk in for security. I plan on making the buildings identical so that the two are completely symmetrical. The bottom floor have 20 foot tall ceiling and the top two will be 15 feet tall. I want the top two floors to be office space. This type of building would be best in a city, most likely in a downtown area.

Office Building Progress /5/2019

In the process of making the office building, the drawing became corrupt and I was unable to finish the drawing. The only things I had left to do were to insert bathrooms, add color to the materials and create the bridge that conjoined the two buildings. I also would have liked to put more furniture on the top floors.

Final House

For my final project I decided to create a house. This house has 2 bedrooms and a master bedroom. The master bedroom has a master bath with a stand-up shower, in addition to a master closet. The master bedroom also has access to the deck in the back of the house. The two bedrooms are next to each other for easy access to the bathroom. If someone were to walk into the house, the dining room, kitchen, and living room are all open concept. The dining area is located near the front door which is also next to the kitchen. I didn't put cabinets in the kitchen, I only included the bar area because I would want the cabinets to be custom because I couldn't find any that fit the kitchen the way I wanted. I would want white cabinets and granite countertops for this kitchen. The living area is at the back of the house which also has access to the back deck. There is a storage/washer and dryer room at the front of the house which leads into a mud room, then leading into what would be a garage. I didn't include the garage in this drawing because I wanted to focus on the aspects of the house. Overall this would be a good single-family home for someone with children or pets because it is open concept and has extra bedrooms. The center of the house and the back deck would be good for a family that likes to entertain.
